Start by mixing between 2-12 drops with your favourite skincare in the palm of your hand. Any formulation of serum, oil, lotion or moisturiser will work. The more drops you use, the deeper your glow will be. Always start out with less drops, as it’s easier to reapply for a deeper colour.
Be sure to moisturise your hands, knees, elbows & feet before tanning your body, as these areas are generally drier and product tends to cling to them. It’s also really important to cover/ glide over the skin completely with product to ensure a flawless, streak-free application. And once you’ve applied, don’t forget to wash your hands with soap and water to avoid stained hands!
All our tanning products are developed to last up to one week and to fade like your natural suntan would.
For best results, we would suggest exfoliating prior to application and reapplying your preferred product every few days while keeping your skin super hydrated – this will help keep you glowing for longer.
Feel free to use our Self Tanning Water daily over your makeup! It makes the BEST setting mist and blends your products together seamlessly.

Great question regarding pre-mixing your drops with your moisturiser! I have checked in with our product development team and they have advised against this, but I am happy to explain why. If the drops are not mixed/used immediately there could be a lesser result to the depth of colour achieved, this is due to the product oxidising when it is outside of the bottle. Please don’t worry if you are pre-mixing and using on the same day, this would mostly apply to after 24 hrs.
Yes, you can absolutely apply make up after using our products. We would recommend allowing the product to dry completely before applying make up in order to give an even result.
With regards to applications, it really does depend on how much you use and your size (if you are taller, you will naturally use more than someone who is shorter). With our water and mousse products, you can expect to get at least six full body applications from one bottle. With our drops, it depends on how many drops you use, as you can apply between 1-12 drops per area of the body. However, even when applying the maximum number of drops to each limb and the front and back of your torso, you will still get at least six applications.
While we absolutely recommend the use of a daily SPF to protect your skin, we would advise against mixing the drops with SPF, as the two together may dilute each other and therefore lower the effectiveness of your sunscreen.
To make sure you are getting the best glow and protection, we would recommend applying your drops with your favourite moisturiser, waiting a few minutes for it to sink in and then applying your SPF on top.

Immediately before application, we would recommend applying a small amount of moisturiser to dryer areas, such as knees, feet and elbows to help avoid any product build and help achieve a flawless end result.
We would recommend allowing our products to fully dry for a few minutes before dressing. If you would like to speed up your drying time, you can use a hairdryer on the cool setting.

With any of our products we would advise limiting sweat/working out whilst the tan develops to ensure the best possible result.
If you have worn your tanner for 4-6 hours already and have achieved your desired shade, feel free to rinse the tanning developer off and carry on with your workout after that. This should prevent any unevenness in your tan.
All our tans, with the exception of Disco Tan, contain naturally derived DHA. Disco Tan is an instant product, so this will wash off in the shower.
Our products contain our signature peppermint and eucalyptus fragrance. This comes from both naturally derived oils and a low concentration of synthetic components. A full list of ingredients for each of our products can also be found on our product pages.
All our products last one year opened or two years unopened.
Your tan will develop fully within 6 to 8 hours and we would recommend avoiding moisture or direct contact with water during this time, in order to prevent the development process being stopped. You can also shower the product off before this point, once you’re happy with your colour. However, once the full development time has been reached, the tan will fade evenly over the course of 7 days and you can absolutely swim in a pool, lake or the sea. Please be aware that swimming in chlorinated water and very hot showers can make the colour fade more quickly.
Generally a mid-week top up will refresh the colour and on non-tanning days we’d recommend keeping the skin well moisturised and lightly exfoliating once or twice a week. If you do find your tan fading a little more quickly, you may want to reapply a day sooner.
If you’re completely new to self tanning OR [if you’re used to using traditional mousse tans] and not quite sure where to start, I’d recommend our Self Tanning Drops. These are colour correcting tan concentrates, which you can mix into your favourite skincare and body care, making them super easy to incorporate into your normal routine.
You can use between 1 and 12 drops and I’d recommend starting off with fewer drops, to build up to your preferred level of glow. As an example, for a natural, sun-kissed tan I like 3 drops in my moisturiser and to match that, I would then apply 3 drops to a dollop of body lotion to each of my arms, 3 drops to the front of my torso and 3 to my back. On the legs, I would add 6 drops per leg, for the lower and upper leg.
Regarding the shade, we would recommend choosing the colour based on your natural skin tone, just like you would choose a foundation, but our products will also help to minimise the appearance of some common skin concerns:
• Light, with peach correctors, will brighten and add radiance
• Medium, with green correctors, reduces the appearance of redness
• Dark, with violet correctors, helps to balance ashy tones in the skin
Which product you choose depends on your personal preference and sometimes even on the time of year. For summer, I love keeping our Self Tanning Water in the fridge. This will tan and refresh your skin at the same time and sets really quickly, so maintaining your colour is completely hassle free.
We would recommend choosing the shade that best describes your current skin-tone, not the tone you want to achieve.
If you have fair or have a slightly discolored uneven skin tone, use the peach drops, formulated with OXY-glow, which will give you a day out in the sun, light sun-kissed tan.
If you have some redness or light/medium complexion use the green drops, formulated with SuperBalance complex, for a weekend away medium golden glow.
If you have yellow or sallow skin-tone or a more olive complexion, use the violet drops, formulated with HyperViolet complex, for a tropical vacation dark bronzed glow and to brighten the skin.
If you are unsure, you can send us a picture of your skin tone and we would be more than happy to advise which shade is best for you.
To remove your tan quicker, we would recommend using a liquid exfoliator (glycolic/ lactic acids work well) and buff off with a muslin face cloth, this will fade the tan much quicker within a day or so.
I have also found that physical exfoliators that have a bit of glycolic or lactic acid are super helpful too. I’m not sure if you have one of these available, but I have found that using a dry brush usually helps me correct mistakes if I have not properly blended around my wrists or feet.
