My mum has made the most impact on my life. I was super blessed that she chose to be my mum. At only 5’2 she was a total force to be reckoned with, no matter what came her way, she put a smile on her face and just got on with it.

I’m also a little bit obsessed with Yara Shahidi and Tracee Ellis Ross…… both super talented, funny and have the best style. I love how they both seem super comfortable in their own skin and encompass true natural beauty!

What’s something you’ve achieved that you’re super proud of?

I’ve just signed up for Swim 22, swimming the length of the English Channel (22 miles)  in 12 weeks. My swimming normally involves a cocktail in the pool so I’m proud that I’ve challenged myself and that I’m also off to a great start!

Q: Can you tell us a little about your role in the business?

I was recently promoted to Commercial Finance Manager, so I support the wider teams analysing numbers & supporting budgets. I’m also currently tasked with implementing a shiny new system for our Warehouse & Finance teams, streamlining processes between these different functions.

Q: Who are the women in your life that inspire you?

My Mum – She has put up with me for my whole life, including the hellish teenage years – that in itself is an inspiration. Also, me being the last of 4 children- I don’t know how she coped!

My Eldest Sister Emma – She has just had her 4th child (hope this isn’t a pattern for the Beattie women…..) even though she’s always surrounded by screaming children (love them really) she always looks fabulous & still makes time for everyone.

My Big Sister Rebecca, She is always (ANNOYINGLY) effortless in everything she does and pulls off anything she tries her hand at.

Q: What’s something you’ve achieved that you’re super proud of?

I renovated an old period property between 2018 & 2019. Blood, sweat and tears (all mine) went into the house: a lot of late nights/early mornings painting, knocking down walls & digging up concrete floors. But it was all worth it in the end and something I’m very proud of now. The fact I didn’t kill my significant other during the process is also a surprising bonus.

Not really advice but…

What’s for you won’t go by you….

Your mother is ALWAYS right.

Freeze grapes to put in your wine instead of ice so it doesn’t dilute it!!!

Q: Can you tell us a little about your role in the business?

As the Director of Global Marketing I work with an amazingly talented team to execute strategic marketing programs across all three brands. From social and digital to retail marketing and everything in-between, there’s never a dull moment. But who likes dull anyways?! I love the creative side of my role but there’s nothing more satisfying then seeing that creativity drive sales.

Q: Who are the women in your life that inspire you?

So many of my friends hold amazing positions in marketing and advertising while also raising families – and as a new mom learning to balance it all, they inspire me daily. It’s comforting to have a network that I can turn to for work AND mom questions from women who know exactly what you’re going through.

Q: What’s something you’ve achieved that you’re super proud of?

I started my career as a PR intern, working two jobs (7 days a week!). I’m proud that in less than 10 years I’m leading a team across not one but three incredible brands that I’m proud to be a part of.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Success doesn’t just come to you – you have to go out and get it. My dad has told me that from a young age and it’s true! You can achieve anything but have to put the work.

Put it in writing or it didn’t happen. A former boss once told me to ALWAYS put it in writing.

Q: Can you tell us a little about your role in the business?

I’m Global Head of Marketing, based in the UK, and work with a team of 11 superstars to execute on and offline marketing strategies in UK, Europe and Australia.

Q: Who are the women in your life that inspire you?

I know it’s a cliché, but my mum inspires me every day. She brought me and my two sisters up single-handedly whilst working two jobs, and she really taught me the values of hard-work and not taking anything for granted. My work ethic has everything to do with her.  I’m also inspired every day by the amazing girls in my team. They are so creative, committed, talented and just lovely, great girls. They keep me young, give me new ideas, keep me updated on what’s culturally relevant, and make me laugh and smile every day.

Q: What’s something you’ve achieved that you’re super proud of?

I’m super proud and grateful to have a job that I look forward to coming into every day

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

It’s not really advice but my old boss used to say to me, “It’s PR, not ER” which was really good to help put things into perspective during times of high stress!  So whenever things are crazy – if we’re working on an event or in the run up to a launch etc. – I’ll always say this to the team to remind them that we shouldn’t take anything too seriously.

Q: Can you tell us a little about your role in the business?

Bit of a wild ride! I started on the Comms team handling PR here in the US a year ago before transitioning to an account manager role. I now support nearly all US retail accounts, save for Sephora!

Q: Who are the women in your life that inspire you?

Cliche, but my mother. She’s an icon who worked in finance, and taught me from a young age that women should never hesitate to demand as much (if not more) than their male counterparts in business.

Q: What’s something you’ve achieved that you’re super proud of?

Literally changing my career path 180 during my time here at Future Beauty Labs. It’s been such a joy! I’m so thankful to have the chance to work with and grow with everyone here, and can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future.

Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t hesitate to leave your mark. Make your presence known, integrate yourself into your company culture, and create a role for yourself that you wake up happy to fulfill. More than 50% of your time is spent at work, make sure you’re spending that time doing something you love or that fulfills you in some way.
